Cube made the claim while tweeting a video of NBA veteran Stephen Jackson.
“Appreciate you @DaTrillStak5,” Cube wrote. “We definitely need everybody’s support. The @nba and @espn are doing everything in their powers to ignore or destroy @thebig3.”
Cube has previously stated that he and the NBA have been feuding since the launch of the BIG3. During an interview with Basketball News in 2020, the N.W.A rapper discussed their relationship.
“The NBA hasn’t been the nicest to the BIG3,” Cube said at the time. “Of course, they say all the right words in public. But we all know that things are going on behind the scenes with sponsors, broadcasters, blah blah blah… It did taint my fandom a little.”
Cube and entertainment executive Jeff Kwatinetz founded the 3-on-3 basketball league in 2017. He’s since called the league one of his “greatest achievements.”
