A senior Apple employee has decided to leave the company after making a nasty joke in a now-viral TikTok video.
In the video, which was uploaded by user Daniel Mac on September 5, Apple VP Tony Blevins is questioned about his occupation after a TikToker notices his fancy vehicle (a Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren). Blevins answered, “I race cars, play golf, and fondle big-breasted women. But I take off weekends and significant holidays.
The executive’s response, it turns out, was a nod to the line from the 1981 film Arthur’s main character, “I race cars, I play tennis, I fondle ladies, but I have weekends off, and I am my own boss,” according to Forbes.
Whether the allusion was picked up on or not, Blevins himself added the word “big-breasted” to the line. On the platform, the video has now received over 1.4 million views.
The departure of Blevins from Apple was confirmed to CNBC on Thursday by an Apple representative. According to Apple, Tony is departing the firm.

The Apple employee of 22 years has spoken out about the video after it went viral. Blevins told Bloomberg, “I would like to use this opportunity to genuinely apologize to anyone who was upset by my careless effort at humor.
According to Bloomberg and Forbes, Blevins, who served as Apple’s vice president of procurement, was renowned for negotiating cheap costs with vendors. According to Bloomberg, he recently coordinated discussions with Qualcomm Inc. and Intel Corp. regarding cellular modems and worked on the company’s satellite agreement with Globalstar Inc.
The Wall Street Journal listed Blevins as one of Apple’s “most significant executives” in 2020.
After staff members submitted the video to human resources, the corporation launched an internal investigation. The callous remarks made by Blevin angered some of his former coworkers, according to Bloomberg, especially in light of the company’s claims to be improving and embracing diversity and women’s empowerment.
