According to court documents, the rapper-turned-TV executive agreed to settle with The Shade Room after suing the publication for defamation.
The saga of 50 Cent’s alleged penile enhancement continues. After suing The Shade Room for defamation, the rapper-turned-television executive agreed to settle.
50 Cent and The Shade Room are currently “executing their respective obligations under the agreement.” The answer is yes. The notice does not apply to Perfection Plastic Surgery and its owner, Angela Konan, who were 50 Cent’s original targets.
50 Cent and his legal team asserted: “TSR committed a clear act of defamation by publishing the article and falsely saying or suggesting that Jackson had received plastic surgery procedures from Kogan or MedSpa, or the penile enhancement or other procedures detailed in the article.
Because TSR thought it was publishing Jackson’s personal medical information, which is neither newsworthy nor of general interest, the article was especially egregious. Kogan and MedSpa are now claiming that Jackson’s picture was taken and used for the story by The Shade Room without their consent. Plaintiff individually requests injunctive relief, compensatory losses, a retraction from TSR, and an apology.
If 50 Cent and Kogan’s mediation does not produce a solution, the matter will go to trial in July.
