This week, Apple introduced their latest version, the iPhone 15, which will be available worldwide on September 22nd.

Experts characterize the next iPhone model as the “biggest update to the device in three years,” and Apple announced it at their latest “Apple Event.”

The iPhone 15 series introduces a slew of new features, including a larger screen display, additional camera functions, and, of course, USB-C connectors.

However, the iPhone 15 is not the only phone from the tech giant making headlines right now; the iPhone 12 is also getting some attention.

The iPhone 12 was released in 2020 and is widely regarded as one of Apple’s most popular phones in recent years.

According to Reuters, Apple has been requested to stop selling the iPhone 12 model in France due to a new discovery.

According to Jean-Noel Barrot, France’s junior minister for the digital economy, the model exceeds radiation thresholds.

After conducting testing on the phone, France’s radiation authority, ANFR, warned Apple that sales of the iPhone 12 would have to be banned in the country.

According to Reuters, they discovered that the device’s Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) was higher than the legal limit.

“Apple is expected to respond within two weeks,” according to a government official.

“If they do not, I am prepared to order a recall of all iPhone 12 units in circulation.” The regulation applies to everyone, including the internet behemoths.”

Barrot went on to explain that a simple software update would be enough to resolve such radiation risks, implying that Apple would still be allowed to sell the iPhone 12 in France.

iPhones and other cellphones emit non-ionizing radiation, which lacks the energy to ionize atoms or molecules.

While it does not offer many health hazards, this does not preclude it from becoming harmful.

Regulatory organizations in numerous countries have established exposure limits for RF radiation, such as that found in mobile phones.

Restrictions are put in place to ensure that the radiation emitted by remains within safe levels, so preserving our health.

iPhones are designed to comply with these limits, yet French officials appear to have discovered some issues with the iPhone 12.

Many research have been conducted to investigate the potential health consequences of chronic exposure to RF radiation from mobile phones.

Several studies have revealed a link between high SAR levels and various types of cancer.
