A photograph is worth a thousand words. Emma Heming Willis, Bruce Willis’ wife, revealed the actor’s first images since his aphasia diagnosis.

“Mom & Dad in their favorite habitat,” the former model, 43, captioned the lovely Instagram photographs of her and the Die Hard star, 67, curled up together on a log in the woods — snapped by their 10-year-old daughter, Mabel. In the first photo, the couple looked affectionately into one other’s eyes. She posed with her head on his shoulder in the second photo, as he stared directly at the camera.

Heming Willis captioned the slideshow, which included a mountain emoji and a hiking boot emoticon, “#offthegrid.”

On March 30, the Malta native, along with the actor’s ex-wife, Demi Moore, and his five children — Rumer, 33, Scout, 30, and Tallulah, 28, (whom he shares with the Now and Then actress, 59) and Mabel and Evelyn, 7, (whom he shares with Heming Willis) — announced the actor’s recent diagnosis via Instagram.

“To Bruce’s amazing supporters, as a family we wanted to share that our beloved Bruce has been experiencing some health issues and has recently been diagnosed with aphasia, which is impacting his cognitive abilities,” the blended family wrote, explaining that as a result, “he is stepping away from the career that has meant so much to him.”

While his family is going through “an extremely difficult period,” they are “working through this as a strong family unit,” according to his family.

Moore’s blended family, which included Moore’s then-husband, Ashton Kutcher, at one point, has long embraced the complexities of his blended family. (After 11 years of marriage, Willis and Moore divorced in 1998.)

“He’s fortunate to have them around. “What matters is that they’re all pulling together,” a source said of the Emmy winner’s family support during this trying time. “Emma, the girls, and Demi are all united in their desire to be there for Bruce and ensure that he receives the finest care possible.”

Willis’ fight with aphasia, a neurological ailment that affects one’s capacity to grasp the language and successfully communicate, is “mercifully” and “very self-sufficient at this point in time,” according to the insider.

While the Pulp Fiction star “is selfless to a fault about handling as much as he can,” the source told Us Heming Willis has been open about how the love they have all received from fans has made a difference for the family.

“Your love, support, compassion, prayers really help. I’m grateful,” she wrote via her Instagram Story on March 31. “Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
