Jonah Hill is currently in the midst of what may be an undeniably significant life decision for some.

In the actor’s case, however, the world would have never known if TMZ had not obtained the relevant legal documents.

According to reports published today (November 29), the California native is preparing to make his stage name his legal name. If you didn’t know, his full name was previously Jonah Hill Feldstein. When his recently filed Los Angeles petition is approved, his initials will be JH.

Obviously, the documents don’t offer any juicy tea. They simply state that he wants the name he’s used in public for years to be officially his own. Breaking Bad star Aaron Paul made similar moves earlier this month. Lauren, his wife, and their young son are also attempting to do the same.

Hill’s decision comes after his announcement that he will no longer hold media events for his projects. This, he claims, is because of the anxiety attacks they cause.

“I’ve realized that I’ve spent nearly 20 years experiencing anxiety attacks that are exacerbated by media appearances and public-facing events,” the 38-year-old explained. He was explaining the lack of promotion for his Stutz documentary at the time.

“If I made myself sicker by going out there and promoting it, I wouldn’t be acting true to myself or the film,” the Wolf of Wall Street star continued. With this letter and ‘Stutz,’ I hope to make it more acceptable for people to talk about and act on these issues. So they can take steps to feel better and so the people in their lives can better understand their problems.”

Stutz delves into Jonah Hill’s unconventional relationship with his therapist. Check out the trailer below, and let us know in the comments if you’ve already seen the Netflix documentary.
